Hy guys, i was just wondering if the driver has any chance of appearing in FBA in the near future

As a curiosity, one of the Demul emu authors, MetalliC,  actually made a very smooth low spec Cave CV1000 emu (for android) back in 2014, but sadly he never released it to the public:

It would be nice to have these masterpieces in FBA working at decent speeds!

Not for me, no. It would literally require a port of everything. FBA doesn't support the CPU or the sound processor. The driver itself and video stuff would have to be ported too.

  • pie? I nearly bought one!
The only way this would happen is if someone besides me and iq_132 were to get things rolling.  First we'd need a sh-3 cpu core, second the sound processor (which has some sort of mpeg decoding).  By need, I mean fully ported (and tested) to FBA.

best regards,

I understand guys. Thanks for answering.

Cave driver or not i'm always looking forward to a new FBA release, as it's the absolute best emulator for our beloved arcade games
