Hi lordpaddle,
You'll need an updated romset for shdancer.zip to avoid the not found error.
The fix will be available in the next FBA release, which might not be too far away, I'm not 100% sure though.
The version before the mapper was added (.39) will work fine in the meantime if you'd like to play Shadow Dancer.

Hi everybody ! This is my first post on the forum !  :cool:

I've also the same problem with SHADOW DANCER on FB Alpha, using the latest version 0.2.97.43,
the set3 US doesn't work...there's the error message :

shdancer was found (C:\MamePlus\roms\shdancer).

  ? essential program ROM epr-12987.a4 was not found.

The ROMset exhibits the following problems:
  ? essential data is missing, the game will not run!
  ? program data is missing


And I've also the same problem with the game crashing at Stage 2-4.
You said you fixed the problem, ok. But how can I play with the fixed rom please ?

Any thoughts why not mention of SF exactly even if they bought rights or something (it's clearly SF is it not?)
Probably because half of the characters do not come from Street Fighter. On a side note, it's made by Capcom, so they didn't have to buy any rights, the IPs were theirs to use.

more news:

Fixed an overflow bug in the mouse handling direct input code. This caused erratic movement in lightgun games when moving the mouse really fast.  This had to be fixed for the next one....

Added an analog paddle/dial with velocity to the burn_gun interface, this makes hooking up dial-type devices (or mouse, analog joystick) quite nice.  Inspired by my Tempest Dial project (TBA).

When I first started to emulate Tempest, I was presented with this silly screen, below.  After a few minutes I realized that I had seen this exact screen before on a broken Tempest machine at a seaside arcade in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in the late 80's.  Memories... :)
