Title: NeoGeo Games Don't work
Post by: redx5rules on February 16, 2009, 01:39:22 AM: Ok I got a whole bunch of neogeo roms and they won't work on Fire Burn Alpha v0.2.97.01 emulator. The directories are right. What am I doing wrong?

Bios romset? Whats that and how do I get it? I'm pretty new at this.

ok I got a neogeo.zip where do I put it?

sorry for not giving a full description I put the roms in the roms folder and try to load them but the roms won't show up in the rom selection screen. I the scan roms button 3 times but they won't show up so I can play them. Hope that helps.

You put it (unzipped) in the "roms" folder inside the same folder you have fba. Make sure that you DO NOT UNZIP any of the roms.

You probably either don't have the proper roms (find a better site) or you don't have neogeo.zip in the right place.

ok I did that nothing worked. what site would reccomend?

This is the problem - from personal experience, FBA 0.2.96.99 and newer don't detect NeoGeo roms (tested on that version and on 0.2.97.02).

Post by: iq_132 on February 19, 2009, 09:38:43 AM: Vegita, you should find yourself a rom manager. Newer FBA versions don't detect your roms because the romsets have been updated to match those of MAME (to be standard).
