Or anywhere you want and point the blend support path at them. :)

Shush! Don't complicate things! :D

What should i do to enable them? i'm not able to make them work
i'm using the xp version of the emulator.
Thanks

Make sure to set your directories properly, then enable misc->options->use alpha blend effects when supported
lastly, make sure to be using 32 or 24 bit video output. The blending doesn't work for 16-bit video output. ^^

Ok i had to disable and reenable them again, now it works. Thanks :)
edit: Getting a guru meditation error with the .bld files posted here and samsho5 :(

If you're using the Enhanced blitter, go to blitter options -> Advanced Settings and make sure "Force 16bit emulation" is unchecked. That might help :)

OK this is strange, these are supposed to make flickering sprites become transparent right?
It don't seem to be working, any ideas?
Thanks for the hard work guys.

SNK_Dude, I'm afraid its a little more subtle than that. Check the pictures in this thread to see how its supposed to look with the transparencys enabled: http://neo-source.com/index.php?topic=1332.msg17816#msg17816 (look at the statusbars in the fighting games, and the explosions in 19xx)
best regards,

Huh, so it was not what I was originally thinking eh?
I was hoping that FBA now had transparencies like Kawaks where the flickering of smoke/shadows and the like which flickered on the actual hardware was now transparent and pretty nice looking but of course kawaks is not open source to share that neat piece of coding.

I could be sticking my foot in my mouth again here, maybe iq_132 can answer this one better :)
-
dink, could you upload the transparencies again? thank you!
