A couple of questions...
« on: January 30, 2008, 05:23:12 AM »
How do you decide on which drivers your going to work on to add support to FBA?

Also as unlikely as this is, is there any plans to support games that zinc presently does (mainly looking for a decent online play as its incompatable with zinc for whatever reason)?

Sorry for asking the stupid questions in advance ^.^

I make my decision based on three questions.
1. Am I, as a programmer, capable of writing/porting this driver?
2. Would porting / writing a driver for this system be interesting for me?
3. Do I like this game?

As far as I know, no.  ZN (psx-based) games would not be a good fit in FBA.  It would require porting
the CD-ROM functionality, CPU core, sound System, and the whole video system.  Not only that, FBA is not really geared towards 3D games (it'd probably be pretty slow).  I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm just saying anyone who decides to do it has a long road ahead.
