Title: For non-English speakers
Post by: iq_132 on March 11, 2008, 03:52:38 PM
I've fixed the problem caused by enhanced ascii characters (the server admin's got them blocked for security reasons).

I have not fixed the PM system though, I'll get around to that later (and clean up the current fix).

Please let me know of any javascript/whatever errors!

ok, PMs should be fixed.  I have no intentions of adding this fix to every text area, so if something gives you a "MIME" type error, please let me know (I may or may not fix it).

Oh, and it's only fixed for the "Default" them.

I have this problem when I change the forum's language to Spanish... the problem persists in all forum's areas.

Look the Differences (the attachments):

ENGLISH [OK]
SPANISH [WRONG]

Oof. :S The server apparently can't handle sending those characters either. I'm probably going to have to disable Spanish & Portuguese languages (not that many people use them).

*edit*
Spanish, Dutch, and German are gone. Portuguese works though....

*Edit2*
Apparently the Spanish language pack was just out of date lol.
It works now, but I don't feel like adding the Dutch/German packs back in (unless someone asks).

*Edit3*
Defaulted everyone back to the standard smf theme and it is now NOT possible to select a different theme.

Thank you so much IQ_132, now it works fine (with some words in English, but no problem).
