speedup & frameskip
« on: January 01, 2016, 04:46:27 AM »
Hello,
there should be 2 features to add in FBA:
1) frameskip
2) speedup

I mean, when i play a game in FBA i cannot set a random frameskip.
How come ?
I remember in MAME emulators, i could set it.....
Frameskip means to run a game faster or slower than normal speed game.

Also when i play a game, i cannot speed it up like but in MAME i could.
Speeding a game up means to accelerate game playing.

Maybe, is it already possible to get these 2 features working ?
Bye.

I know this doesn't totally answer your question, but:
For now, the only thing I can suggest is to use f1 when you want to speed past bootups or such.  Or you can link it to your controller and then paste the line in your default preset. I'm using a Sony Dualshock 3 gamepad, and have the [select] button mapped to fast forward, its quite handy.

I think we just have an option for auto frameskip under video, also setting the speed only works on a few games / drivers unfortunately.
