Ultrabump! If anybody complains, they better have a stronger reason than "this post is old" because it wasn't resolved back then, either.
I'm seeing the same issue with FB Alpha v0.2.97.34 (unicode) on Windows 8.1 on an Asus Transformer Book T100 (some kinda onboard Intel graphics). Here's an attempt using the SoftFX blitter:
Obviously those are insane values and not what I have set (24-bit color, 1366*768 pixels). In fact, the numbers seem to vary depending on the selected blitter. The "resolution" seems to be stable across multiple attempts with the same blitter, while the Hz rates are off the charts and seem to be different on each attempt. A single example of each follows (note the SoftFX Hz does not match the above capture):
Basic: 2002554192x202485680x0bpp (202485648Hz)
SoftFX: 2002554192x0x0bpp (14354168Hz)
Enhanced: 0x0x0bpp (13596152Hz)
Switching to one of the DirectX 9-based blitters appears to resolve the problem and I can enter full screen without issue, so it's not really affecting my enjoyment of FBA, I just figured it was worth reporting. There's another report of the same issue separate to the topic post here on the board, quoted here to try to keep things centralized.
Hi,
When I try to launch a rom I get a:
Problem setting '18x33433168x-1224403237bpp (1970235185Hz)' display mode
Would you have any idea on what it should be?
(I'm testing it on a VAIO SVE1712S1EB under Windows8)
Thanks!!
