Quote
FAST STRIKER is a 2D arcade shooting game with emphasis on scoring. You can choose between 3 game modes with different scoring systems. This game features six stages of excellent 2D arcade game play with over 40 unique enemy types, super smooth 3D scrolling backgrounds, huge CGI bosses and it features the biggest Megabit count ever since the beginning of NEO·GEO™ games.

It doesn't look very good.. (and having played Last Hope that doesn't surprise me)

Ugly pre-rendered graphics.

Vertical Shooter on a Horizontal Screen (urgh)

Dull backdrop sequences, again just pre-rendered loops.

Uninteresting, and non-fluid bullet patterns (the bullets look 'tacked on' and for lack of a better word 'sticky')

Generic looking enemies / boss.

I see nothing too original about the gameplay mechanics either, it doesn't seem to have a unique hook of any kind.

I like shooters, but this is nothing revolutionary, it looks like a poor-mans vertical rip-off of Blazing Star and would have been shunned in favor of that even if it had been released at the same time.  The genre has come a long way since then, and the subtle details which make the more recent shooters so good appear to be missing.

Anybody can make a shooter, making a good shooter is something only a few companies have mastered.  Sorry to rain on the parade, but I can't see it being any better than Last Hope, and that was dire (and basically a bad rip-off of Blazing Star's prequel, Pulstar...)

It loks like a mix of Dux and Last Hope
