Title: MSU-MD Enhancment Audio (Sega Genesis - Mega Drive)
Post by: Neildark on June 03, 2021, 04:33:08 AM
Hello, I recently discovered that you can change the soundtrack of Mega Drive games and add CD quality tracks, there are two formats but it seems that the one that works with some emulators (MSU-MD can be used with real hardware and should be usable with emulators such as Kega Fusion, or anything that supports Mode 1) Are you considering adding this option?

I leave a couple of links in case anyone is interested in investigating: first the main forum where they are updated with new packs: https://www.zeldix.net/f66-md-and-msu-md-hacks-database
https://www.zeldix.net/f63-md-and-msu-md-general

And a page where there are several games with the rom mounted with the new soundtrack: https://archive.org/details/msu_md_sega

Greetings to all!

Maybe, maybe not. We don't accept requests, and asking "if" or "when" a hardware will be supported is just a roundabout way to do requests.

You are right, sorry , but I also wanted to comment on the forum in case someone did not know about this option who could also investigate it on their own, I love the whole thing about hacks to change the soundtrack of our favorite retro games. In fact in SNES everything is much better implemented and there are arrange soundtracks with the MSU-1 in many games. Thanks for your work, Greetings!

The thing with that msu support is that segacd emulation is probably a pre-requisite, so i doubt it'll come to FBNeo anytime soon.
