is it possible to add audio samples to other games?
« on: May 28, 2021, 01:59:10 PM »
Hello . First of all, thank the developers of this fantastic emulator, which I use today in retroarch and it's really great.

My question was to know if it is possible to add audio samples to other games such as neogeo to put the music of neogeo cd from the samples folder.

Is there any kind of restriction per system?

Thank you.

PD: Sorry for my english , i am spanish and use google translator. :)

The short answer is that it is not currently supported. The long answer is that someone could add support, but it would be complex.

I had asked me the same thing some time ago, try playing donpachi with the music you like from Metal Slug (I do it).

You only need to replace the samples of the music in hd for the melodies that you like, already in the game go to the emulator menu Input-set dipswitches-enable high quality music ...

By the way, neokyo was my favorite mugen char for years je.

Yes, I had done the same, so my question was whether the same could be done in a street fighter (with turbo HD or 3DO music) or king of fighters (with neogeo cd music).

In Mame2003 you can change with a very similar method some music, Final Fight, Michael Jackson, etc ...

But of course, all this is time and work, and the developers already have enough with what there is that today is incredible.

I understand, FBN is an incredible emulator, unfortunately we have not any idea how to implement that option, it would also be good to have a tracklist as in kawaks to see the name of the music for example in the jukebox using unibios with the neogeo games.

It is true the feeling of the game changes a lot with a good soundtrack.
