Hi Captain, I've registered just to post my thanks. As Aqua said, it really is superb to have an emulator like this (for online gaming enthusiasts especially) so thank you very much indeed for your time and your efforts.
I have a few requests, if I may be so bold ^^
Would it be possible to set the dip switches for sfiii3n and sfiii3an to English, by default? It's just that when playing online, everyone is perpetually stuck in the Japanese language mode, which makes things a little trickier when choosing move sets.
Secondly, I don't know if you are aware of this, but in the Street Fighter III 3rd Strike games, in the diagnostic settings, the sound is set to Mono by default. It is listed as "Jamma" (which is its equivalent), under Configuration > System > Sound Mode. The reason for this as I understand it, is because the old arcade cabinets that SFIII were built on were not configured for stereo output. In this day and age however, every PC and television is equipped and configured with a stereo output system, so the result is degraded sound quality when playing these games, unless that setting is changed. Would it be possible to set the sound mode to "External" by default, so we can all enjoy the game in stereo without having to change this diagnostic setting everytime we load the game? Most players when playing online for example, usually play in the lower quality mono sound mode, because they are not aware of this particular diagnostic option. You can test the difference for yourself if you plug in a set of headphones, you can hear the beats of the music dynamically bouncing between each earphone appropriately. I'm not sure if all CPS3 games are set to Jamma by default, or if it's just 3rd strike, so this might be worth checking.
Thirdly, regarding the problem wiki was having where he couldn't get rid of the black bars on the bottom and top of the screen. I had the same problem. I'm using a 4:3 monitor. To fix it, I set the following option: Video > Stretch > Full Stretch. Then I could enjoy 3rd Strike in full screen, without the black bars. I think that perhaps "Full Stretch" should be a default setting so that other users don't encounter this issue.
Many thanks for your time and efforts once again
