Playing with Sixaxis
« on: May 08, 2012, 09:22:13 PM »
My old usb joypad was getting faulty buttons so i bought a PS3 sixaxis controller to play raine on my laptop under ubuntu lucid.
USB connection worked out-of-the-box and i had little trouble getting bluetooth connection to work (qtsixa did the trick). right now i'm sticking to the usb connection.
i tried finalburn alpha to map sixaxis' input and something interesting happened: at first, the button press is assigned to joystick1, and if i try to map the same button again, it is assigned to joystick0. what the heck.
i also tried mame and all buttons where mapped alright. it caught my attention that mame is recognizing input from joystick1 instead of the usual joystick0.
Is there a problem with the linux sixaxis driver?
