Title: Using standard NeoCD Bios instead of CDZ
Post by: ArcadeTV on December 06, 2011, 07:43:32 AM
I was wondering if there was a way to use the standard Neo Geo CD Bios instead of the CDZ-Bios.
Under Dipswitch-settings there are region-changing options, but where's the option for the bios?

Also I'd like to ask if there's a way to speed up loading times in CD-games?
(not complaining, I mean it's perfectly emulating the real thing here)

Thanks to all devs, FBA is great and all your work is so much appreciated!

No, the Standard (top/front-loading bios' use some unemulated calls and some other bits...
As far as speeding up, hold F1 on your keyboard. That's the best we can offer. ;)
Though I suppose a speed hack could help.

Ok, I see...

I use FBA on one of my arcade cabinets, so I'll make a hotkey-pushbutton for F1 :-)

THANKS!!!

none of the other NeoCd emulators actually *emulate* the NeoCD .. FBA is the first.

That means FBA has to get the low level differences between the systems correct.
