Question about video recording
« on: January 11, 2023, 12:29:24 AM »
Hello Dear Administrator and Everyone:
I have couple of Fbneo's video recording questions: 1, how do you set up the recording length of the video? Everytime I record a 35 minuets video, always at around 10 minutes splited, so ended up become 3 different video clips, is there anyway to set the video recording time? 2, in my avi recording options, I only had 4 compressors: Microsoft Video 1, Intel IYUV Codes, Intel IYUV Codes and Full Frames (Uncompressed), How to get more options and which one is recording the best quality? Do I need to download something else?
Thank you so much all for take your time and read my questions. Looking forward to the answers.
Miguel

Hi Miguel,
You'll want to use a good encoder like x264:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/files/latest/download
once installed, reload fbneo and go to record video and select Compressor: x264vfw
use these settings, if you want:

p.s. it will still split file @ 2gig, due to x264vfw limitations.  I use ffmpeg.exe concat to put them together

Thank you so much Mr. Dink!
So as long as reach to 2G, they'll automatically split right? so just can't record a whole video more than 2 G.
Thank you!
Miguel

linking vids to 1 file is simple, get ffmpeg.exe and linkvid.cmd (attached)

ffmpeg here: https://www.gyan.dev/ffmpeg/builds/ffmpeg-release-essentials.zip

howto:
put ffmpeg.exe from that zip and linkvid.cmd into avi subdir
open a cmd window here also

for example, you want to link these:
mmpork-05-05-005740_0.avi
mmpork-05-05-005740_1.avi
mmpork-05-05-005740_2.avi

type: linkvid mmpork-05-05-005740

in a few seconds you'll have a single file

best regards,
