Title: Green Beret / Mr. Goemon driver
Post by: iq_132 on April 23, 2008, 11:13:20 PM
Here's a driver for games on Konami's Green Beret (http://www.mameworld.net/maws/driverinfo/gberet.c) hardware.

Games on this hardware:
Green Beret (http://www.mameworld.net/maws/romset/gberet)
Green Beret (bootleg) (http://www.mameworld.net/maws/romset/gberetb)
Mr. Goemon (Japan) (http://www.mameworld.net/maws/romset/mrgoemon)
Rush'n Attack (US) (http://www.mameworld.net/maws/romset/rushatck)

High color, sound, save states, etc, are all supported.

Please look at this:

Replace this:

Quote
   SN76489Init(0, 18432000 / 12);

Quote
   SN76489Init(0, 18432000 / 12, 0);

I'm using an older FBA source, that's why the difference. ^^

:cool: Small changes:
  • Changed input "diag" to "service"
  • Changed DIPs "1C 1C", "3C 4C" to "1 Coin 1 Credit", "3 Coins 4 Credits"...
  • Added DIP "Service Mode" in mrgoemon
  • Changed default DIPs to match MAME.
  • Added UNICODE title in mrgoemon: Mr. Goemon 五右衛門

Thanks Bison. I've always liked your corrections quite a lot (I'm terrible at anything with details). :)

I think it's because they have the same graphics chip... though from what I can tell, they are quite different even in that aspect.

I actually completed Green beret at the arcade, excellent game.

Shame as Jailbreak was always a fave of mine.

Yeah, I'd noticed that too. ^^ Having MAME/z80 cheats enabled in my build definitely helps lol.

If/when an m6809 CPU core is added to FBA, I'll certainly look into adding that (as well as some other favorites (http://www.mameworld.net/maws/romset/gng)).
