Firefox 8 and SMF Attachments problems

Just in case anyone is experiencing problems with attachments downloading as index.php, it has been confirmed as a compatibility issue between Firefox 8 and SMF forum software, here you have a direct link to their support forums where the issue has been discussed:

Ok, I just applied the SMF patch and attachments should be working fine with Firefox 8 now  :smilie:

Yeah I been having lot of issues with latest versions of Firefox, their memory handling seems not to be very good, earlier versions are better in this aspect and as you mentioned, they don't consume many resources.

I hope they fix these issues for the future versions because at this moment I believe Firefox is one of the best browsers (if not the best).
