Xinput/Dinput controller
« on: January 14, 2021, 11:02:47 PM »
I have an 8BitDo arcade stick and can switch it to either Xinput or Dinput, but FBNeo doesn't pick up either. How can I get my controller working? OS is Debian 10.

Assuming you are using FBNeo over wine as mentioned in the other topic, i already encountered issues like this with wine, i recommend using a 3rd party program to turn your pad buttons into keyboard keys, then using those keyboard keys in FBNeo.

I was able to map the controller in the FC1 emulator. Do you know of any Linux programs that will map pad buttons to keyboard keys? I only know of some for Windows.

My controller started working and I didn't make any changes, maybe all it needed was a restart?

No idea, my experience with wine and controllers is that it's about luck, some apps never registered my controllers.
