I started writing a driver for that a while back. I need to finish it. My free time is a bit consumed by donkey kong atm.
...and that's not a bad thing! Looking forward to that. I'm just dropping some suggestions.

Another system I was looking at was Taito F3
Main CPU : MC68EC020 (is this different that EC20?)
Sound chip : ES5505
Cool titles:
Bubble Symphony / Bubble Bobble II
Darius Gaiden
Gekirindan
Grid Seeker : Project Storm Hammer
Light Bringer / Dungeon Magic
Ray Force / Gunlock
- DONE

Irem:
M73 hardware
Gallop : Armed Police Unit - DONE

M84
Ken-Go (kinda looks like a Sengoku/ Ninja Combat competitor) - DONE

Namco System 86
Rolling Thunder - DONE

That was suggested exactly 1 page, and 10 posts before yours. :S

The Irem games are already in FBA (both ported by me :p).

As for the Namco games, good idea on the 86 games, rolling thunder's hardware is complex. I wouldn't mind taking a crack at it at some point though.

Wow, overlooked the F3 post. Sorry.
I noticed the IREM titles but didn't see that particular one on the list, realized it was a clone of Cosmic Cop - sorry again.

Is Konami GX compatible? There are some great shooters there.

The idea of porting the drawing stuff for some of that hurts my head. lol  I would love to see it ported some day though.

A lot of it is far more complex than it needs to be, and probably the cause of a fair number of the bugs too.  Whoever wrote it was aiming for speed I think, but after patching up the various out of bounds accesses it was doing, and bad assumptions it was making it has neither speed nor accuracy, nor readability.

Please iq_132 can you add Sega System (Multi) 32 and Namco NB-2 support for your next FBA release? On these hardwares were made some of the best arcade games ever (Spiderman, Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder, Outrunners, The Outfoxies...)

You should port FBA to Android  ;p

I will receive an Android tablet later this week, and once arrived intend to port SSNES to it. Once SSNES is ported, the libretro port of Final Burn Alpha will run on it as well along with all the other emulators that SSNES supports.

We'll have to look at how well performance is (target platform will be a Cortex A8 single-core at 1.2GHz with an ARM Mali-400 MP as GPU) and make speed hacks where necessary - there are already quite a lot I'm using for FBA libretro PS3/360 that could be of good use.

How about Sega System 24 and/or 32?
The sound CPU and the sound chip are already emulated under FBA.

I missed this post, sorry.

That sounds promising, looking forward to it.
