List of Games i want on FBA and FBAS in the future
« on: May 23, 2013, 07:48:38 PM »
If you don't mind, I'm putting up a list of games that i want to see added on fba and fbas library in the future. I don't care when they are added or whether or not they are added in the next update. They're games to consider in the future. This posted list will be updated at times.

Gekirindan
Darius Gaiden
Gunlock/Rayforce
Fighter & Attacker
Risky Challenge
Fire Barrel
Ark Area
Second Earth Gratia
Puchi Carat
Under Fire
GI Joe

And no, don't label this as spam because I'll edit the post and not post others in the thread.

Cybattler      - possible...
Alien 3: The Gun   - very unlikely
Gekirindan      - same hardware as Gunlock
Darius Gaiden      - same hardware as Gunlock
Storm Blade      - very unlikely
Vasara         - very unlikely
Vasara 2      - very unlikely
Gunlock/Rayforce   - http://neo-source.com/index.php?topic=1332.msg15184#msg15184
Fighter & Attacker   - possible
Risky Challenge      - already in FBA, you need to look a bit harder
Fire Barrel      - I have this half-ported already
Ark Area      - I may port this soon. Looks easy.

And no, don't label this as spam because I'll edit the post and not post others in the thread.
Ya.

If it requires a cpu or sound core that is not in fba. If it uses 3D graphics. If it isn't even emulated well in MAME.  If Barry or I have no interest in adding the driver. If people pester us about adding a specific game/driver (Mortal Kombat).
If my stash of beer and nachos gets too low, etc.

I wonder what makes Visco games very unlikely... They are 2-D after all and I know not to post anything 3-D.

It may be be unlikely because someone has to take the time to add either CPU/Sound/Video/Protection/decryption code
or maybe all of the above everytime a game is added to FBA so if a game remains unplayable in FBA it might be the dev team
dont have the time to work on it just now or have no desire to do so anytime soon sometimes it's best to be happy with
what you've got!!!

BTW have you considered grabbing the source and adding these games yourself???

Usually, it is due to having to start from zero. With the ssv games, we have to port a cpu core, a rather large video core, etc. It's very time-consuming to do so. Especially for such a limited library of games.
