TMNT
« on: August 21, 2008, 05:55:04 AM »
I'm currently rewriting the tmnt driver. Thus far the game runs and tilemaps work (although are unoptimised). Sprites are currently missing. I have the Z80 hooked up and the YM2151 and UPD7759C are hooked up and working well. I have got the title sample fully working too so sound wise I just need to add the K007232 to FBA's supported sound chip and we'll have all sound as well.

I'm writing this like the Taito drivers with modular chip support so hopefully once this one works I can add some of the other games in the driver too without too much hassle.

Treble....OMFG....you f***ing ROCK dude!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, seriously....why are emu developers so awesome and generous??? Please help me understand! I'm totally confused!!!

By the way I'm not too familiar with the Turtles games....is this the same TMNT game that's available on XLBA? If so then awesome. I've played that version and not only did they make it look ugly on the 360, it's LAGGALICIOUS!

That is actually the same cabinet that I used the plans for to make my own. Excellent choice of game, by the way!

Also a small update: I'm reworking my control panel to match the same button layout of the 'X-Arcade' controller so it'll be a little more FBA, and user friendly :)

Can I expect you to write the driver for it?

:rolleyes:

Erm... not very motivational.

Try deleting the tmnt.ini file and make sure you don't have cheats enabled etc.

I'm running a fresh compile of 029696 and I'm getting the same garbled screen;
deleted game config tmnt.ini, no result...

Anyone having this problem on the newer (.97, .98) versions?

Attached are the contents of my zip and here's my system information:

Ok I tested it again this morning and it was working as intended, but then it went bad again after a reload. It seems to be doing it randomly, because I can't really find a pattern or a reason.

edit: found something, I think.
Open FBA->Load TMNT->Good Screen->Exit Game->Load TMNT->Bad Screen
Open FBA->Load TMNT->Good Screen->Exit Game->Load TMNT->Bad Screen
(scratch that, it's completely random on my end)

It happened to me sometimes too, so probably there is something going on at start of emulation, could it be the internal configuration of the game generated after the first play?... (not the .ini)
