are you doing proper low level NGCD emulation (a first?) or just using the same dodgy HLE techniques as all the other emus?

LLE should be possible, it's the same CD controller as SegaCD and stuff, just needs the NG specifics hooking up, and the implementation made reusable.

If you're doing / working out how it works properly then contributions to MESS would be more than welcome.
