Final Burn Neo > FBN Discussion

How can I play neogeo cd games the FinalBurn Alpha emulation?

KaaMoS:
I can't believe that!
It's a so strange way to "reply a Question" from them.

Of course, there's still their SkyDrive account... CreamyMami's profile, but I think there isn't any way to keep in contact with him, he kept himself hidden (also, there isn't any Source Code).

I've got KOF2112 email address... and I talked to him once (a few months ago), but he told me he wasn't in FBAs Development anymore.
He added that CreamyMami was the only Developer there.  :S

Barry Harris:
Sadly closing the site off to external access accomplishes nothing. They have proved untrustworthy, and will simply reopen or release elsewhere. Every time they post a binary, they need to post their source. That is the license.

It is unfair to the FBA Team, Dave (the original FinalBurn author), the MAME Team, external contributors, and previous team members for them to take everybody else's hard work, and use it in their own build, without then following the terms of the license.

I would still like to see them follow the license, and for the source code to their last binary released, as well as the source code to any future binaries, released at the same time as the binary.

Barry Harris:
Supercade can also be added to the list of license violating builds that needs a source release. :(

KaaMoS:
That's true...
unfortunately I'm used to play online using that software (and GGPO that does almost the same, if I'm not wrong they shared they SC just once, years ago).

I tried to "keep in their minds that FBA exists", but, seems to be that people is more interested in good features and things for free, than supporting (in any way) who provide their entertainment.
I'm quite sad about that, but seems to be that I can't do anything farther that asking them for support.

Well, seems to be that the nicest features of FBA will be just a dream for simple mortals like me.
But I don't care... you have given a lot of your time and dedication to your project just for us, and I appreciate it.

Is a shame that people can't be enough honest to make a simple feedback as a way to "say thanks, this is my grain of salt".
Even worse if that's regulated by terms of use.

doomking:
why finalburn evolution is a closed-source?
