Today I've seen a new patch for "Sword Master" at Romhacking. It attempts to fix the sound samples and I think it's worthy of adding to the NES roster: http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5584/

@wilowar as said many times, please restrain requests to games you intend to play, i don't believe you intend to play those glitchy compilations of existing games...

First - I love multiple game cartridges, especially for Nes and it has some high value on market like ebay.

Second -  What do you know what kind of games and consoles do I like?

it has some high value on market like ebay.

How is that even relevant here ?

What do you know what kind of games and consoles do I like?

Tbh, at this point, all i need to know is that you have kept making crazy requests for dozens of new arcade/console/computer hardware over the years, which is against our rules. And that since we opened those threads for console game requests (with the written rule "request for games you intend to play"), you requested several hundreds of them (and even had the guts to ask us to add zillions of polish fan translations).

So well, either you reflect on the meaning of the word "restrain", or i'll have to consider deleting any of your post i deem inappropriate from now on.

Speaking of NES, is there an option to crop the last few pixels in the margins of the screen? I've noticed some NES emulators offer to crop the last 8 pixels in both left and right. This solves unwanted effects like the distortion on the right when advancing in Super Mario Bros. 3.

That attribute clash on the side is actually hardware limitation of the ppu - when a game is scrollable in the up and down axis there isn't enough memory for attributes on 1 side of the screen.
I don't really like the idea of cropping because the titlescreen and other parts of the game will look weird with that.

Well, I wasn't expecting the feature to be always on. More like a selectable option.

On a real CRT, would those pixels be visible? If they would I guess it's fine to leave things as they are. On the contrary, if they were hidden by the overscan...

I'm already cropping out the overscan - trust me, that's even worse (by many times).  The pixels you see are viewable on any tv w/nes hooked to.
For example, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAvUkGHUGN4

Some more NES hacks for your consideration:

1) Super Mario Unlimited - Deluxe --> 41 new levels, graphics and music for Super Mario Bros. I haven't reached the further levels yet but so far I've found it very enjoyable.

2) Super Mario All Stars NES --> This one turns Super Mario Bros. 3 into an all-in-one cart similar to the SNES Super Mario All Stars. It features the first three Super Mario bros. games plus The Lost Levels. Requires an MMC5-capable emulator.

3) Ultima: Exodus Remastered --> A makeover for Ultima: Exodus that also includes gameplay fixes. Has excellent reviews.

I'll play the first two without a doubt. The third one... I'm not that much into RPGs, but I'm pretty sure others will.

Neville,
Thanks - I got them in.  Super Mario Unlimited deluxe was already in there though.
note: had to use the "cart" version of the allstars patch :)
