Maybe this is really obvious, but games that use Neo-PCM2 sound like Mslug4 and 5, and Rotd actually sound really fuzzy in FBA when compared to Kawaks etc. Is there anything I should do about this?

That's actually one of the biggest complaints against FBA.
The best thing to do is just play with the audio settings until you find an acceptable one.
