High Score Question
«

I just had a quick question about high scores. At what point are the high scores saved? When they are obtained or upon ROM exit?
Thanks!

Hi RandyRVA,
It saves the highscores when you exit the emulation for the current game (or load another game).

Have you guys considered having it update once the high score memory changes? If you are running a stand alone machine that boots directly into a rom, you don't really exit the emulator, you just power down the machine.

Unfortunately that's not going to be possible, Have you considered shutting down the machine with Hibernate, so it comes back where it left off when you turn it on?
Which OS is your machine running?

Another solution: adding some kind of safe shutdown switch, which will gracefully exit the emulator.
Example:

RandyRVA, how's it going? Were you able to get your system to shut down properly so the highscores get saved?
