Thanks guys!  It was a lot of fun working on this, even though I'm not a fan of the system.

A rare opinion, because from my experience the SNES is very much a loved system. Anyway, great work!

geese howard,
I can't really explain "why", but, if you take, for instance: the no-intro snes set from web archive (or anywhere) and make a dat file & use clrmame pro, it'll make all the roms in the correct naming for fbneo.

best regards,

News:
Cheat system hooked up for SNES.  Supports Game Genie and Pro Action Replay format codes
At some point in the future we'll try to port the entirety of GameGenie codes db to FBNeo...

TIP:
In the cheat menu (Ctrl-F1): you could just double-click on a cheat to enable it, instead of using the dropdown menu :)

using .ini format, attached is an example cheat file
Code: [Select]
; SNES Final Fight 2 cheats

cheat "Start with 10 lives"
0 "Disabled"
1 "Enabled", "DBCF-C7D6"

cheat "Invincibility"
0 "Disabled"
1 "Enabled", "2D65-3706"

cheat "Infinite time"
0 "Disabled"
1 "Enabled", "C2A0-1F0C"

cheat "One hit kills"
0 "Disabled"
1 "Enabled", "CBE8-47AF", "EEEA-4DDF"

Using the DAT file and Romcenter, number of converted ROMs from no-intro set is 1349, minus special games like SMW2 Yoshi's Island

WILOWAR,
Game adding is temporarily on hold, because current both me and Gab75 are too busy working on other things.  It will get added, hopefully soon, though!

Hi friends & fans of FBNeo!

*coming soon!*
I'm working on a new project that might be interesting: it's the complete converted GameGenie codes database for NES and SNES, ported to fbneo, to work with fbneo's great cheat system :)

NES is 90% done, SNES is up next to tackle (after finishing NES, of course).  I'll post here when It's finished and ready for testing :)

best regards,
- dink

It's a lovely system, my favorite console of that era.

Anyway, I forgot to check out this thread for comments on the new SNES emulation. Thank you, dink et al. You just made a ton of people happy, me included.

Hello friends and fans of FBNeo!

Here's a supermassive database of Game Genie cheats for NES and SNES, just toss the files cheatnes.dat and cheatsnes.dat into your support/cheats directory.  (Get them in the zip attached to this message)

You'll also need an up-to-date fbneo exe to use them, get it at the usual place:

Hi stifu,
Really, I just sorta grew out of video games around the time the SNES came about, and moved on to other things like computers, dirt bikes and 4wheelin'.  Fun story: when I was in kindergarten, no shit, I had a friend up the street that had gotten a Space Invaders coctail cabinet for their birthday, this was around '83 or '84.  I remember playing the crap out of this as a kid, what a great time.  Also remember every 5 minutes or so the "Pacman cereal" commercial would play, and his sister would spaz out to that!

Thanks :)

I know, late reply - but somehow I missed it!

best regards,
- dink
