Title: Updated Capcom Drivers For FBA 2.94.98 Progear runs
Post by: PRican25 on February 06, 2005, 09:36:32 PM
well there was a new version of fba-xxx which is based on the older fba src but the great thing about is they found a way to get progear working :D

so i thought i'd post the capcom src of the fba-xxx which is up to date matching the latest fba out but for old fba src's.

i've tested it and it works lovely

enjoy

Exactly. Thanks.

I can compile all versions... just drivers dont work with the newer ones.
Easier to add one driver to the old version than fix all for the new one aye?

EDIT :: Umm sorry dont mean to sound like an idiot, but it compiles alright and everything; why doesnt Progear show up on the list? Ive tried all the things... even when show availble only is off etc etc

Did you setup Perl correctly ???

As the driverlist.h is generated with a perl script.....

try to edit driverlist.h (src\generated) and search for progear, if it's in driverlist.h then maybe your rom is not named correctly...if progear is not in driverlist.h then perl is not working

Is it possible to use this perl to generate a driverlist.h seperately without having to compile FBA.

If so, could somebody please explain how this would be done?

Thankies ^_^

using ActivePerl, go to your vincs folder in your source and you'll see the driverlist.bat and edit it so it reads this:
Code: [Select]
perl ../scripts/gamelist.pl -o ../generated/driverlist.h -l ../../gamelist.txt ../burn/capcom ../burn/toaplan ../burn/misc/taito_68k ../burn/misc ../burn/cave ../burn/neogeo

thats just one big line and you might have to edit it to add sega and such

now you can run that bat just to build the driverlist :D

Thankies PRican, I'll give that a go ^_^

Sounds much easier than editing it by hand :)
