i wonder
When will be release Final Burn Alpha v0.2.97.09 ?

Barry and I are both very busy at the moment. I've gotten to a very busy point in my university and a promotion at work.
I hope to have some free time in about a month, maybe I can finish up the dozen or so drivers I've got in various states and get them out the door.

That are wonderful news! Take your time, sometimes you get less time for emulation because of this kind of things, but is the cost of being as cool as you are XD...

Well, we are still fixing some stuff related to Windows 7 and such, by now I had no time for the emu, but I guess that next week I can see what to do, be patient, because you will surely like this new version, it has tons of new features!

I really hope that super street fighter 2 turbo/x frameskip issues are tied to old rendering code because actually it's unplayable, tried on different machines with different os but failed miserably..
Some stages frameskip a lot, see honda/ryu/guile/ken/chunli while mame doesn't seem affected by this.

Load up pretty much any m92 or m72 game and play it for a sec. You'll see what I'm talking about pretty quickly. I suggest In The Hunt btw. ;)

Maybe you could publish the version that you have at this moment...
No more new coding, no more new developments, simply the last version you already have...
Surely it is far better than the old 0.2.97.08, and surely it has drivers for scores, maybe hundreds of new games...
Maybe it is possible?

Yeah, of course the fans can not demand anything of you, since we are not paying anything for this wonderful program...
But surely you can understand we would like to have that new version that was promised some time ago, with "tons of new features" (if I recall properly the quote) and with those lots of new drivers which already have been added (as mentioned in Barry Harris' website).

As you said, you have been waiting for more than 1 1/2 year. Authors of the emu are busy with it's real life so i think you can wait another moths untill they have some free time to make a new release.
Anyway fba doesn't emulate anything that is not in mame if im not wrong, wich is updated very often, so you can try that emulator instead and discover some really fun games :)

Not 100% true Kanyero... Some games emulated in FBA are not in MAME (as example some neogeo games and bootlegs like ironclad, kof97pla, some PGM games too, etc...).
I can wait the time needed for a new FBA release but i can say honestly i prefer FBA to MAME even if the number of supported games are far inferior ;p
