Title: FBA 02.97.17 Dat File

Is there a location where updated dat files (Romcenter, CMPro) are available for new versions of the emulator?

The latest dat file version I could find was 0.2.97.08 at logiqx.com
The current emulator is at 0.2.97.17

Current MAME 0.144 roms are different from the 0.2.97.08 dat file and I wanted to verify whether they are correct for 0.2.97.17 or not.

Fba can generate .dat files for clrmamepro. In the menu -> Misc - > Generate Dat File ->

Ah. I see the option now. I wish more emulators provided this easy functionality.

Why is there such a disconnect between FBA and MAME with regards to these roms? After comparing FBA 0.2.97.17 to MAME 144, there were large differences between common rom set definitions. Which is the more "correct?"

MAME. Though there shouldn't be that much that is different.

You should be comparing to MAME 0.144u3 really.
