Hello, the video game super chase has the intro not synchronized with the music unlike the original hardware where the intro and the music are synchronized.
Here the pcb for reference

edit: CPS1 games are reacting 1 frame later than in mame.

Hmmm, it used to be the other way around, right ? I'm wondering what happened

@dink: how u doing, I don?t know if you are aware of this in relation to the Shuma gorath raster effect from Marvel super heroes but as far as I know only one author got it right and did it correctly or shall I say accurately and that is the old nebula emulator from elsemi, you may want to look into it if your still interested in solving this old mystery for fbneo and I don?t think jotego ever got back to you about this either? I would?ve provided some screenshots but unfortunately my puter is fried..

I don't think nebula ever released its source code ? Or actually wasn't it supposed to have been incorporated in MAME ?
As for screenshots, i think we are good since we have pcb videos.
The answer probably is in https://github.com/jotego/jtcores/blob/master/cores/cps2/hdl/jtcps2_raster.v, but i don't understand much about vhdl language

the_maq,
Unfortunately I can't figure out how/where the top irq chunk is being scheduled, so its a mystery right now.  I'm not too worried about it, it's only the top several lines of the screen - everything else is bang-on.

That sucks about your computer, maybe it can be fixed?

best regards,

Hi, this might be old news (I'm on an older FBNeo build on Pi3B+), but I encountered a coin error on Batsugun Special Version. Holding the coin button results in the error, resetting the game and wiping high scores.

As per barbudreadmons suggestion on RetroPie forum, I'm reporting it here. Is this something that's already known/fixed?

Hi weirdh,
I just added a fix for that issue, thanks for letting us know! :)

as a bonus, bgaregga, batrider, and bbakraid also get the improvement.

Hi, thanks for the fix, the coin error is now gone. However, in Batsugun Special Version, there is now a stray zero in the bottom left part of the gameplay area that wasn't there before. It's also present in the attract mode.

I don't think it's possible for that fix to cause that kind of regression, and i can't reproduce it.
It's probably something with your hiscores being corrupt from the previous coin error, or maybe you loaded a previous state ?

Hi weirdh,
This stray 0 is from using older format hiscore with a new version of hiscore.dat, where the format has changed.  The fix is to, unfortunately, delete the hiscore file (batsugunsp.hi in support/hiscores)

Yup, confirmed. Ah well, more Batsugun to play ;) Thanks for the replies

EDIT: just wondering, will there be many games affected by this hiscore format change? Or isn't that something one could easily determine?

EDIT 2: Okay, so I've been having trouble with my coin button lately (probably wiring), so maybe that's why I'm just now noticing these, but donpachi.zip and ddonpach.zip exhibit the same coin error for me. No idea if they did before though, as I updated FBNeo from source yesterday.

Hi weirdh,

I think only batsugun's format got changed in hiscore.dat, I mean, we don't really control the format of hiscore.dat - it's maintained by Leezer.
If something got changed, though, it's probably for the better :)

I added the coin fix to donpachi/dodonpachi, but, you really might want to fix your coin button.  I can think of about 200 other games that will cause this problem :)

In my experience, usually wiring isn't the problem when a switch is sticking for longer than it should.
I'd take it out, spray it with wd-40, then compressed air from all angles (to get wd-40 deep into the switch & button, but to also clean out any dirt as well), then wipe it with an alcohol-soaked cloth or papertowel to get any wd-40 off of the outside of the button.  then put it back in
If you have deox-it, spray it with that too, before the wd-40.  but seriously, remove the button&switch before spraying it with anything :)

best regards,
- dink
