Is there any likelihood of this being supported? I'm having trouble even tracking down the ROM.

I asked the author on the video and offered to add it to fbneo and pass it to Robert of hbmame, let's see what he says :)

Well, it doesn't look like a super impressive dkong hack, so maybe don't bother with it if the author isn't willing to share it ?

Sure, it's just odd that he doesn't say "I don't want to share this for X reason" - before he deleted the comments he replied to me saying he just didn't know how to upload it. (I did offer to help, of course.)

It's no big deal, I've just got a collection of Luigi and Pauline editions on various formats and it would have been nice to get this one preserved too. I wonder why it hasn't been properly released.

I responded with something along the lines of:
"Hi, I can add this to FBNeo and help get it added to HBMAME, get in touch"
.. with intentions to send it to you.
And a few days later, my comment was deleted..
