@7zxkv i think the repo has some thumbnails that might be missing from the packs

I'm going to take them back and add them, then recompress them all with PNGGauntlet (which is very time-consuming). What would be nice is to use the recompressed versions afterwards, so that we're all starting from the same base. We might not gain a lot, but it's still better in principle. I will come back to let you know when it's done, thank you 😉

The pics come from the games' internal video format (makes sense to me..?), which of course is 1:1, but, in the UI we aspect-correct them before display.

Hmmm ok, i thought the UI didn't correct aspect after noticing some dual-screen 8:3 games had a thumbnail of 1 screen only (ex.: scross).
Now i'm wondering why the UI ends up applying a 4:3 for those thumbnails instead of the 8:3 from the driver, i'll have to look at the code sometime.

I'll be... just noticed I accidentally erased the "previews" part of my SNES set. Does anyone have an updated version?

do you recompress them with png gaunltet every time? Could you specify it?

I?ve checked, and the old files are already compressed, whereas the new ones are not.

Would it be possible to compress the delta using PNGGauntlet (a free and installation-free program)?

Alternatively, could you systematically indicate whether the delta is compressed or not?

I have to recompress everything each time, which is time-consuming, especially for a final gain of only 5% (corresponding to the new ones). It would help us a lot if you could either recompress the new screenshots and let me know, or specify that you used an already compressed base but didn?t have time to handle the difference.

I wanted to say that there were 5% (random value, I meant that there were few) of new screenshots on the whole pack.  (sorry for my bad english ^^)

Thanks to all the contributors for making update packs because I'm aware of the time it takes.

But please it is possible to compress the new screenshots you make with PNGGauntlet.

This program allows to compress our PNG Snapshots to the smallest possible size. In final with it we can gain a lot of MB in our Titles and Previews packs which means less datas to download for those who still have a poor connection.
