barbudreadmon, I'm curious: how do you find such things?  Also, how would one download all the source for this "tree(?)"?

1. look at the commit history for https://github.com/finalburnneo/FBNeo/blob/master/src/burn/version.h
2. pick the commit corresponding to the version change, here https://github.com/finalburnneo/FBNeo/commit/f4871243790969dde098b3b152c2f3b0c04ab5e7 for .44
3. click "browse files" (top right)
4. from there, to download the source code, you can click on "Code" then "Download ZIP"
