I remember reading he wasn't happy with the motion capture so he directed the scenes himself. Then it's likely his ego didn't fit into a SNES cartridge.

"Smash Tennis" and its Japanese counterpart "Super Family Tennis" are remarkable because they allow up to 4 players at same time in a "doubles" game. You can even play with the computer as your teammate.

"Targa" is also a quite good game for a prototype.
