Neville, did you have a chance to try our Hot Chase and WEC Lemans emulation?
A lot of extra effort went into:
Making steering nice (this took many days of fine tuning to get right)
Making WEC Lemans as accurate to PCB as possible

best regards,
- dink

Mag Max completes our Nichibutsu Arcade collection!
(note: not counting the hundreds of mahjong they did in their later years...)

  • All games deserve to be emulated, more or less! :P

The steering input works very well (in my opinion the best setting for the "analog sensitivity" is 82-85%)

The wheels animation and brake lights (of player car) are "fully operative" during the gameplay! ;)

Thanks for asking. "WEC Le Mans" is indeed extremely nice, much better than in MAME. "Hot Chase" is a bit worse, but it could be the game's fault. It is certainly far more responsive than in MAME.

iq_132 simulated the protection for Photo Y2K II (py2k2) on PGM HW, making the game fully playable :)

Some nice work there, now that FBN supports Wec Le Mans it is worth mentioning that Hyper Crash uses the same steering wheel inputs
as an alternative control method, you might want to look at porting the selected_ip code across to d_nemesis.cpp sometime as it really does
improve the controls.

Photo Y2K 2:  It turns out the protection was slightly more advanced - but last night a solution was found, and I played all the way to the end to test it - though, we need to do some more testing because the game is somewhat random.

Neo geo cd emulation for fba
« Reply #1525 on: June 30, 2020, 12:17:07 AM »
Great job on the neo geo cd emulation for fba Mr dink..i tested all the games and all play great no bugs as far as i can tell apart from big tournament golf in japan or neo turf masters both are the same games... there is a raster effect issue in the actual game which strangely isn't present in the aes version - the aes version is perfect on fba what are your thoughts..??

Thanks Gab75, that was a big help - since the game has a bit of randomness to it, we had to do at least 2 plays to be sure :)

A little while back (nov. 2019) I fixed a bug with rasters in Turf Masters / Big Tournament Golf, can you please give me a screenshot and a savestate file for where the problem happens, or tell me how to get there if it's easy enough?
p.s. is your executable up to date? Grab the latest here:

Raster effect issue for neo turf masters on neogeo cd for fba emu.
« Reply #1529 on: June 30, 2020, 10:04:59 PM »
How u doing Mr dink - okay the raster effect screws up when the player is ready to take a shot - you will see it in the first intro without having to play it yourself what will happen is that the grass will disappear on the foreground but the rest of the objects remain for instance the golf post the trees etc etc...and from there on the parallax scrolling goes all haywire on the foreground only but the rest is sound and that's about it.. good luck and here's hoping this gets resolved A.S.A.P..thanks
