Yeah i change my mind, it seems the size is not revelant at all. If someone was able to rip ADK World, Neo Geo CD Special and KOF 98 Special Edition in to a MVS Rom, i wasn't be so much worried about it, because MVS is already had all the stuff from Neo Geo CD.  :biggrin: Thanks!

not going to happen.

suggestions and reasoning:
0. hdds cost nothing now.  really :)  get a 32gig usb thumb-drive and store all of your cds on there if you want.  I got one for $3USD last week new.
1. fb emulated neogeo cd first and bin/cue has been the standard since the 90s
2. chd library & support code is larger than the entire fb emulator, it will make the source tree look like spew and frankly i don't want to deal with that.
2.5. because of #2, compile time for fb will double or triple

and lastly, we have a very nice game-selector for bin/cue use it, love it :)

Off Topic / Suggestion for NeoGeoCD on FBN
« Last post by Joaquim2020 on November 15, 2019, 05:52:06 PM »
I just remember one thing about NeoGeoCD and i think this can improve a lot of users.
It is possible to make FBN reading NeoGeoCD Images in to CHD format?
This will save 80% of size for each game.
Please make this sticky if possible.

26GB total, if we remove all the clones from kof jp version or en we have 23GB total.  :biggrin:

Thanks!  :cool:

Release 1.2

Download here

- Full testing and integration of mame2003+
- General cleaning

Next (possible) updates will be :
- Retest english clones of japanese roms to use them instead of the parent when possible
- Try to handle CHD in a graceful way
- Possibly remove mame2003 as it doesn't make much sense anymore (both mame2003plus and mame2010 are better)
- Add several tabs to the UI to handle more sets : naomi, atomiswave, and if possible handhelds (Tiger, G&W, etc...)
- In the far future (hopefully before Skynet rise), tests on a more powerfull SBC, either RockPro64, Odroid XU4 or Odroid N2

And I'm still looking for brave folks willing to test the script on linux  :devlish:

Here's my cheat.dat, unzip into fb\support\cheats :)

It's a modified version of Pugsy's MAME 0.126 cheat.dat from here: http://cheat.retrogames.com/mame_downloads.htm
I just added and fixed a few games (mostly late-80's games)

FBN Development / Re: Some CPS1 "Phoenix" - Captain Commando, The Punisher, etc...
« Last post by iq_132 on November 13, 2019, 07:25:47 PM »
Is it possible today after so much time with the newest emulators to change some things in the CPS1 ROMs or some other retro games CPS2 or CPS3 like in the first comment? It would be nice to add some new things in the games or maybe cheats to play the games to make it more fun and entertainment.
Rom hacks aren't really super easy. If someone makes a good one, we'd add it.

FBN Development / Re: Problem to update clones for NEOGEO
« Last post by iq_132 on November 13, 2019, 07:23:01 PM »
Hi,

In my case i want to add a clone for NEOGEO with a file P3, but there some thing i dont understand, im trying to do the same as the other existing clones.

Example of KOF95SP:

      UINT16 *rom = (UINT16*)kof95spExtraROM;

      for (INT32 i = 0; i < 0x20000/2; i++) {
         if (rom == 0x4e7d) rom = 0x4e71;
         if (rom == 0x4e7c) rom = 0x4e75;//Replace all 0x4e7c with 0x4e75
      }

      rom = (UINT16*)Neo68KROMActive;

      for (INT32 i = 0; i < 0x100000/2; i++) {
         if (rom == 0x4e7d) rom = 0x4e71;
         if (rom == 0x4e7c) rom = 0x4e75;
      }

      rom[0x1f3a8] = 0x2b7c; // 4ef9 //<-------------I Dont understand how to fin this value and it adress
      rom[0x1f3a9] = 0x0003; // 0090//<-------------I Dont understand how to fin this value and it adress
      rom[0x1f3aa] = 0xe7fa; // 16be//<-------------I Dont understand how to fin this value and it adress

           SekOpen(0);
           SekMapMemory(kof95spExtraROM, 0x900000, 0x91ffff, MAP_ROM);
           SekClose();
   }

I think it a kind of header to declare the new side of the ROM, but i dont have an idee what is 4ef9 0090 16be, Without does values i have a black screen in the Select screen

Please help me
Can you post the names, sizes, and crcs of the program roms you are using? It may help.
