well, there are a number of things wrong with the crt in that video, namely too much green (part of the sky is green), I wouldn't go by that one :)

The palette calculation is being emulated down to the output resistors, so I think it's pretty accurate, fwiw: it looks the same in MAME

The Uncensored hack for the NES version of Maniac Mansion has been updated to v2.0.



The NES version of the game was notoriously censored by Nintendo at the time because it didn't match the family image of the brand. This hack reinstates censored graphics and dialogue, fixes some broken graphics in the original release and even allows mouse control.

The colors of Lock-On look kind of dark to me, though. Looking at it the original game running, it seems a bit brighter. Doesn't it?

Today user nll5171 submitted code to create duplicate(macros) for all input buttons, including start/select/coin.  These can also be toggled to autofire buttons (checkbox on the left side of the button name).

I've been wanting this for a while now, hooray! :)

Thanks. I'm rusty, and failed to make any enemy fall in holes, so it was more tedious than it could have been. :p
Anyway, glad it was useful. I also learned about a funny trick recently: the "ghost" bug.

Sorry, I've never had any luck with this game under MAME, and I've only ever tried playing with the keyboard or a steering wheel. I'm not really an expert, sorry if the high quality of my complaints made it seem like I am :wink:
