I've got a nice little collection of vector-graphics mods, including one of Galaxian (vectrgal.zip in HBMAME) which used to work very nicely with FBNeo with renamed ROMs but has been screwed up by a recent version due to changes in the required 1h.bin and 1k.bin files. Any chance of supporting it in its own right?

Hi,
The main difference is, I removed the compression from the input recordings and state (incl. nvram).

There's a few benefits to this, for example:
makes it easier for external tools to edit the data, for speedrun-stuff
it's much faster without the compression
It's also more reliable, as zlib likes to overinflate if the data changes in the most tiny amount.

Hi! As always, thank you for FBN!  :smilie:

Been doing some gameplay recordings in .fr using the last nightly build and noticed the recording files are a lot bigger than the ones from my "main" FBN build (circa 2023).

Example:
. old FBN record, around 30kb
. last nighty build, around 2400kb

Is it expected? Is there some recording system changes during this time? Not a problem though the recordings work perfectly, just a matter of  curiosity.

NeoGeo CD OBJ Compressor/Decompressor


Usage:
   buildobj (C)ompress/(D)ecompress filename

Example:
   buildobj c spr.spr
   buildobj d spr.obj

Caveats
- Decompressed data must not be more than 1 megabyte in size
- CD image must contain a .SPR and .OBJ for each OBJ file as the CDZ will ignore the .OBJ extension and load uncompressed .SPR
